File Extractor

When the operating system is freshly installed, it is not uncommon to forget about a file compressor and extractor, like WinRar or 7Zip, until you receive an archive. This is how you waste precious time. You have to search for the right utility, download and install it. This will not happen when using File Extractor. It can be installed and used faster. There are no complex settings, no advertisements or nag screens. It unpacks archives and nothing else.

Another plus for File Extractor is the fact that it's absolutely free. The installation kit weighs in at 717 Kb, which is smaller than other similar applications. During the setup process, you can choose to install a new toolbar on your browser and change your search engine or home page or decline this by clicking a single button.

After launching File Extractor, you can load an archive by clicking and dragging it over a green shape, on the interface's top portions. Alternatively, you may click that shape and browse for the archive. The software supports various archives, including .zip, .rar, .jar, .arc and others.

When loaded, the archive's contents are displayed in a list. The output path is the same as the input one, by default, but you can select a different one. The files will be extracted immediately, after clicking the Start button, in the lower right corner of the interface.
